Where did it all start?

Maxwell Health is a NZ owned business.

Jo Maxwell founded Maxwell Health in September 1999 when working as an independent practice nurse.

Her husband approached her about providing the flu vaccinations to staff at his workplace against the flu. Ever the entrepreneur, Jo saw the business opportunity and was one of the first in Auckland to become an authorised vaccinator (certified to vaccinate in workplaces without a doctor).

Maxwell Health now vaccinates thousands of people in their workplace every year throughout New Zealand.

Meet The Team

Jo Maxwell

BHSc (NSG), NZRCpN

Jo is Maxwell Health’s founding Director and a Registered Nurse. Jo manages the overall business operation.  She is committed to proactive management in keeping workplaces healthy.

Outside of work Jo is busy with two beautiful teenage girls Holly & Ashley, managing a netball team and in her spare time, loves to cook. Her husband Geoff is a very keen trout fisherman.

Katrina Adams

Katrina manages the day to day operations for our recruitment team. She’s the one fitting the pieces of the puzzle together and loves a challenge. Highly experienced in people and business management, Katrina is a vital part of our team here at Maxwell Health. Katrina strives to ensure Maxwell Health provides outstanding service delivery to all Medical Centres and Relief Staff daily. It’s fair to say that she excels in all thing’s customer service, management and people. She has a positive can-do attitude and is passionate about living well and getting the most out of every day. Enjoying sports, wellbeing, outdoors and whanau in her spare time.
